Kids Alive campaign keeps on truckin'

L-R: Richard Dudley, CEO AMIF, Laurie Lawrence, Greg Lewis, GM MotorOne and Patrick Tessier, MD Salefest Advertising.
A donation from the AADA for the purchase of a new truck for Laurie Lawrence's Kids Alive children's swimming safety program to replace the existing truck, which along with Laurie has been responsible for saving hundreds of Aussie kids from drowning in the last 10 years.

Rooting the Emu

I asked everyone in the Marriott Boardroom to give me one word they felt described Laurie Lawrence's awesome presentation at this morning's MotorOne breakfast and it was unanimous: INSPIRING!

If you have never heard of this bloke he is a famous Aussie swim coach, in-demand motivational speaker, multi-award winner and all-round larrikin.

And if you ever get the chance to see him in action, you'd be out of your tree to miss it.

Here are a few photos from Laurie’s presentation and I'll upload an audio file that will give you an idea of just how touching and moving his presentation was, as well as explaining why I used the headline “Rooting the Emu”. Lie to me

"The Human Lie Detector" under the spotlight.
For every one lie a person tells you, they have to invent another two or three to protect themselves from the first one, that's according to Steve Van Aperan, the first Victorian Police Officer to graduate from Western Oregon University USA as a Certified polygraph examiner in 1966. It was just one of the tips he gave to an enthusiastic audience over lunch at the convention.
